In an otherworldy, uninhabitable, and nonsensical landscape, dancers hoist, carry, and toss burdens. In the wake of the Covid Pandemic “The Burden of Nonsense” explores perplexing events, threatening opposition, and treacherous insecurity. It inhabits a world where clarity or sound reasoning leads to nonsensical meanderings. The editing is embedded in non-linear narrative, montage, and abstractness. Though the ending solos were not choreographed together, they are stitched together in match cuts that exemplify our shared experiences of digression.
